[Authorization: BLPUSE, OPERATOR]
Use the BLP command to force CA VM:Tape to bypass label processing for a pending mount request.
When you tell CA VM:Tape to bypass label processing for a mount request, CA VM:Tape does not try to read the internal label on the tape. Instead it prompts the operator for the volser on the external label. If that volser matches the volser specified on the mount request, CA VM:Tape proceeds with the mount. If the volsers do not match, CA VM:Tape unloads the tape and asks the operator to mount the correct tape.
You might use this command when you know that the right tape is being mounted but the internal label may cause problems (for example, because the label cannot be read, it does not match the mount request, or the tape has not been initialized).
You must issue the BLP command before the operator or robot has mounted the tape. You can use the CA VM:Tape QUERY raddr command to check the status of the tape drive; it should be in MOUNTING status
