When you allocate a tape drive or mount a tape, CA VM:Tape will use defaults set by your system administrator to select a tape drive unless you use one of the options described below to specify a particular tape drive based on physical location, group, real address, or unit type.
You can also use the density, media type, and recording format options described in Specifying Tape Density, Media Type, and Recording Format to select tape drives.
