Tape Librarian Commands

The tape librarian commands are as follows:

• ASSIGN

  Assigns a new owner and manager to a saved tape.

• EDIT

  Changes fields in volume and data set records in the TMC.

• LIST

  Lists scratch tapes and list volume and data set information for saved tapes.

• SCRATCH

  Scratches eligible tapes on CMS systems.

• TAPEINIT

  Prepares tapes for use.
