The following EDITDEF configuration file record invokes the USEREDDF user exit during CA VM:Tape initialization with a field edit type of 1 (USER1) and a direction of 2 (field length request):

EDITDEF SECURITY ACCT +0  USER1 USER DISPLAY

To cause the exit to be reinvoked with a field type of 1 (USER1) and a direction of 1 (input field editing request), enter the following:

vmtape catalog x00001 security low
