*LT= [Last Logon Terminal] (CA VM:Secure only)

Lists when the user ID was most recently logged on to (date and time), and the location from which it was logged on to (IPv6 terminal address). It is a companion to the *LL= record, and is present only for logon through an IPv6 connection.

Note: The *LT= comment is used only if the Rules Facility is installed.

CA VM:Secure itself adds this comment to every user ID directory entry. It updates the values stored in this comment each time the user ID is logged onto using an IPv6 TN3270 connection. If the user subsequently logs on from a terminal that does not connect using IPv6, then the *LT= record is removed from the user ID directory entry.

Note: Do not enter values for this comment.

The actual updating of the information in this special comment does not take place immediately at user ID logon. Rather, *LT= information is queued up for several user IDs and the updates are done all at once. These group updates are more efficient than updating individual *LT= comments one at a time as each user ID logs on.

Use the DELAYHIS record to specify the amount of time for CA VM:Secure to wait before updating the *LT= special comment in directory entries.

Note: For information about the DELAYHIS record, see the Reference Guide.

The information stored in the *LT= comment for a given user ID appears each time that user ID logs on. It is then overwritten with the information about the current logon.

The information CA VM:Secure maintains in this comment looks like this:

*LT= 08:12:44 mm/dd/yy FD00:7A06:A33:3::E2C3
08:12:44

The time at which the user ID of the directory entry in which this comment appears last logged on.

mm/dd/yy

The date on which this user ID last logged on.

FD00:7A06:A33:3::E2C3

The IPv6 terminal address from which this user ID last logged on.

This information is not displayed if a private lock exists on the user ID directory entry at the same time the user ID logs on, such as happens when the directory entry is being updated or the directory database is being backed up.

A private lock does not affect the actual updating of the *LT= special comment, however, because updates are done in groups and not at the moment of logon.
