New Parameter on RESID Configuration Record

The SSIONLY parameter indicates that APPC connections to the RESID are only accepted from VM systems residing in the SSI cluster as the VM system hosting the product server virtual machine.

Support for IBM Upgrade In Place

A new UPGDMIXT EXEC is provided to support the z/VM 6.3.0 Upgrade In Place install method. When you upgrade your VM system to a new VM release, the IBM upgrade procedure calls CA VM:Secure to add new directory entries and update existing entries.

Journaling for Diagnose X'A0' Sub-Code X'60'

Journaling has been added for the password change diagnose X’A0’ subcode X’60’ to limit the number of invalid passwords accepted when using this facility.

New Rules

CA VM:Secure Release 3.1 provides the following new rules:

RDEVCTRL

RDEVCTRL rules control permission to access real devices.

FOR

FOR rules allow or deny use of the CP FOR command by those not predefined as secondary user IDs.

TRSOURCE

TRSOURCE rules allow or deny the use of the CP TRSOURCE command by Class C user IDs.
