Terminal addresses can be logical device addresses, resource IDs, network IDs, real terminal addresses, or IP addresses.
You specify this IP address whenever a TN3270 device is being referenced as a terminal address in some commands, rules, user exits, and utilities. CA VM:Secure displays the IP address for command output, audit information, rules, and reports. For IPv4, CA VM:Secure converts each decimal integer in the dotted IP address format to hexadecimal, resulting in an eight‑byte hexadecimal IP address. For example, IP address 199.0.89.51 becomes C7005933. This hexadecimal form of an IP address is used for any programming interface such as some user exits, and in the VMSECURE AUDIT file.
You can specify terminal addresses with the following commands:
Each command explains how to specify terminal addresses for the termaddr parameter.
