The POSTRULE user exit accepts or rejects the results of CA VM:Secure rules evaluation, or performs additional processing as necessary. It is valid only if the Rules Facility is implemented.
The POSTRULE exit must be in the form of a TEXT file. For performance reasons, an EXEC file is not permitted.
When the POSTRULE user exit receives control, the registers are as follows:
|
Register |
Contents |
|---|---|
|
R1 |
Address of parameter list |
|
R13 |
Address of 18 fullword register save area |
|
R14 |
Address to which your exit must return |
|
R15 |
Address of your exit routine |
|
Others |
Unpredictable |
The POSTRULE exit is responsible for saving and restoring registers 0 through 14. The exit must set register 15 to a value of 0 or 4 before returning to the R14 address. The POSTRULE exit receives control in key 0 with interrupts disabled. It can perform any command valid in CMS SUBSET.
