Sample Program Using DIAGNOSE X’A0’ Subcode X’60’

When the Rules Facility is installed, virtual machines on z/VM can use the sample program VMXA060 XASSEMBL. The VMXA060 XASSEMBL file was loaded to the product VMSES/E LOCALSAM minidisk or directory, usually the 2C2 during installation. VMXA060 XASSEMBL is a standalone program that uses DIAGNOSE X’A0’ subcode X’60’ to change the logon password or password phrase for a user ID.

Before using this sample program, review the program to ensure that it provides the functionality for your system’s security requirements. Then rename it with a filetype of ASSEMBLE, then compile it, and create a MODULE file.

Note: For information about VMXA060 XASSEMBL, see the header information in the source file.
