Description

All CA VM:Schedule CANCEL requests default to normal CA VM:Schedule processing if no rules are defined to govern CA VM:Schedule CANCEL attempts. The NORULE record in the SECURITY CONFIG file does not apply to CA VM:Schedule CANCEL requests.

Examples

• The following rule in your rules file prevents anyone from canceling CA VM:Schedule jobs scheduled to run on your virtual machine.

  REJECT * VMSCHED CANCEL *
  

• MAINT has two rules in its rules file that prevent anyone except VMANAGER from canceling jobs belonging to the MAINT user ID:

  REJECT * VMSCHED CANCEL *
  ACCEPT VMANAGER VMSCHED CANCEL *
  

• Security group manager CAROL has a rule in the JOHN user rules file that permits anyone in the any security group to cancel the CA VM:Schedule job called CAPREST, which is scheduled to run on the JOHN user ID.
