Description

CA VM:Secure treats AUTOLOG and XAUTOLOG rules identically: an AUTOLOG rule will accept or reject the XAUTOLOG command and an XAUTOLOG rule will accept or reject the AUTOLOG command.

Examples

• The following rules in the ALMA user rules file allow only HERB to AUTOLOG ALMA:

  REJECT * AUTOLOG (HISTORY
  ACCEPT HERB AUTOLOG
  

  The HISTORY option specifies that AUTOLOG requests other than those made by HERB are to be recorded as history information in the ALMA directory entry.

• The following rules in the BARRY user rules file allow all users to AUTOLOG BARRY, except JIM and LUCY:

  ACCEPT * AUTOLOG (NOPASS
  REJECT JIM AUTOLOG
  REJECT LUCY AUTOLOG
  

  The NOPASS option allows autolog without password verification for all user IDs except JIM and LUCY.

• The following rule prevents a user or security group rule from rejecting an autolog request from CA VM:Schedule:

  ACCEPT VMSCHED AUTOLOG (NOPASS
