These options are offered by many of the rules. If one of these options is used differently for a particular rule, the option is explained in the detailed description of that rule.
CA VM:Secure does not consider the DAY, EXPIRE, and TIME options when determining whether the rule is overridden by another rule.
The day or days on which the rule applies. You can specify SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, and SAT for dayname. You can specify a range of days by also using ‑dayname; for example, you can specify the range MON‑FRI.
Specifies the date and time on which the rule expires. Unless you specify a later time, the rule by default is no longer effective after midnight (00:00:00) on this date.
Specifies that the requester variable is the name of a security group.
Updates the target user ID’s history information, if any, whenever the rule is applied.
Specifies that the requester variable is an IPv4 or an IPv6 terminal address.
Specifies that the requester variable is a logical device.
Causes the system to prompt for and verify the requesting user ID’s logon password.
Specifies that the requester variable is a VTAM–defined network user ID.
Specifies that password verification is bypassed.
Displays a special warning message when the target user ID logs on if any of his rules have this option. This option is used internally to indicate that the rule was added dynamically after an invalid link attempt threshold was reached.
Causes a prompt for the specified password before granting access to the target user ID.
This is valid only for DIAL rule. Password phrases are not supported for DIAL passwords.
Is the time during the day when the rule applies. The time is a range of hours and minutes specified by hhmm hhmm, and can cross a 24–hour boundary (for example, TIME 2300 0230).
