Interfacing PEF with CA Mainframe VM Product Manager and CA VM:Schedule

To ensure normal operation of CA Mainframe VM Product Manager and CA VM:Schedule with PEF installed, take the following steps:

1. Add the following PRODUCT records to the CA VM:Secure PRODUCT CONFIG file, where userid is the user ID of the respective product’s virtual machine:

   PRODUCT VMSISERV VMANAGER
   PRODUCT VMBACKUP userid
   PRODUCT VMSCHEDULE userid
   

   Also be sure to add PRODUCT VMSECURE userid records to the VMSCHED CONFIG file in CA VM:Schedule.

2. Add the following statement to the directory entries of each of the virtual machines specified on PRODUCT records:

   IUCV DUALPASS
   

   DUALPASS is a special keyword that allows a select group of virtual machines to issue the LINK or AUTOLOG commands with the encrypted form of the appropriate password and with the non–encrypted form when the CA VM:Secure service virtual machine is not available.
