User Rules

User rules are processed after system and security group rules when no applicable rule is found at higher levels. User rules can be established by the user, by the security group manager, or by the system administrator (as long as each user ID has the proper authorization). User rules cover requests where the user’s virtual machine is the target of the request.

To create user–level rules, enter the following command, where userid is the user ID whose rules file you are editing:

vmsecure rules user userid

If you do not specify this user ID, you will be editing your own user rules.
