Deleting Several Directory Entries at the Same Time

You can delete several directory entries at the same time by using a control file and the MULTIPLE command. You may even want to use the same control file to delete directory entries that you used previously to put them on hold.

To delete directory entries, issue the MULTIPLE REMOVE command with the name and filetype of the control file. For example, if you are using the control file USER, filetype FILE, enter the following command:

vmdirect multiple remove user file
