Putting Several User IDs on Hold at the Same Time

To put many user IDs on hold at the same time, build a control file. In the control file, add the name of each user ID that you want to put on hold. Then use the MULTIPLE command to place on hold the user IDs listed in the control file.

To put several user IDs on hold at one time with this method

  1. Create a control file with the names of the user IDs to put on hold.

  2. Enter the MULTIPLE command with the HOLD operand and the name and filetype of your control file. For example, if you have the control file USER FILE, enter the following:
