Resynchronizing the CA VM:Director Configuration of SFS

If other people perform user ID administration tasks for SFS outside CA VM:Director, CA VM:Director may be left with an inaccurate picture of SFS. If you know that all SFS–related user ID functions are performed only through CA VM:Director, there will never be a problem with the information CA VM:Director has on SFS. However, if you are unsure of possible SFS allocations made outside CA VM:Director, resynchronize the CA VM:Director configuration of SFS so that it reflects the actual current state of SFS.

  1. From CMS, enter the following:
    vmdirect config sfs

This command displays the SFS Configuration Menu.

  2. Select option 4, Resynchronize File Pool Data.
  3. Using the Tab key, move the cursor over the name of the file pool to resynchronize, and press Enter.

Note: This command can take a considerable amount of time to execute.
