Exception files let you process selected entities differently from other data included in the job template file. These entities can include user IDs, minidisks, account numbers, ACI security groups, SFS file spaces, or BFS file spaces. For example, you can back up a single minidisk physically when all other minidisks are backed up in CMS format. To do so, specify in an exception file the user ID and virtual address of the minidisk to be processed physically. You can use an exception file to specify which of the following entities to include in or exclude from the job:
