Resource Pool Information

When you select Option 3, Manage resource pools, CA VM:Backup displays the Manage Resource Pool screen. This screen displays the following information about existing resource pools:

• The name of the pool
• The medium and density of the tapes in the pool
• The number of tapes in the pool
• The action CA VM:Backup is to take if the pool runs out of tapes.
• The type of pool for tapes that CA VM:Tape mounts. The type can be either pool for tapes from a specific resource pool or scratch for a general scratch pool.

  Pool means that CA VM:Tape allocates tapes from a specific scratch pool with the same name as the CA VM:Backup pool.

  Scratch means that CA VM:Tape allocates tapes according to CA VM:Tape pool assignment rules.

You can use the PF8 (Forward) key and the PF7 (Backward) key to scroll through the resource pool list.
