You can use CA VM:Backup to perform incremental-only restores of minidisks. Data centers use these restores to expedite restore processing in the event of a site disaster. In a disaster recovery situation, you can restore the basic system from physical full-pack backups (including those performed using other products such as IBM's DDR), then restore the changes to your CMS minidisks from the CA VM:Backup incremental CMS backups. To perform an incremental-only restore, you must use TPI to build a job that contains the CUTOFF record.
