DUMPJOB INDEX

When performing an incremental backup, CA VM:Backup uses the DUMPJOB INDEX file to locate the base catalog. This file provides an index to DUMPJOB data files. CA VM:Backup also uses the dump job chaining information contained in the DUMPJOB INDEX file to locate catalogs that can be processed by the automatic condense and discard process and to check whether a tape can be reused (that is, if all catalog files have expired or multiple copies of the tape exist).
