Ending Through the END Command

You can terminate CA VM:Backup by entering the END command. You can end CA VM:Backup after currently running jobs and commands finish processing, or you can end CA VM:Backup immediately.

To end CA VM:Backup after currently running jobs or commands finish processing, use the END command without any options. If you are terminating CA VM:Backup from the CA VM:Backup console, type end. If you are at another console, type vmbackup end. If no jobs or commands are running when you issue the command, CA VM:Backup ends immediately.

To end CA VM:Backup immediately, regardless of whether jobs or commands are currently running, use the FORCE option on the END command. If you are terminating CA VM:Backup from the CA VM:Backup console, enter end (force. If you are at another console, enter vmbackup end (force. When you use the FORCE option, all currently running jobs and commands stop executing. When you reinitialize CA VM:Backup, CA VM:Backup uses checkpoint data to restart interrupted jobs at a point close to where the termination occurred.
