Responding to a Detach Request

When you receive a request to detach a minidisk, you can:

CA VM:Backup checks periodically to determine whether you and other users are still linked to the requested minidisk. If you and all other users that have a read/write link to this minidisk do not detach the minidisk or log off within the time allowed, CA VM:Backup does not restore your data.

When you reply to a message on this screen, CA VM:Backup displays its response to your reply under the message. For example, if you enter ok in the Command column next to a detach request, CA VM:Backup displays the following response under the detach request:

<REPLY OK HAS BEEN ACCEPTED>

CA VM:Backup automatically updates the information on the Respond to CA VM:Backup screen every 10 seconds. To remove outdated information, press PF2 (Refresh).
