Permissions Required to Restore to a Target BFS Directory

CA VM:Backup requires you to have write permission to the target directory and search permission to each of its parent directories. The permissions can exist for the owner, group, or other.

For example, you want to restore a BFS file to the existing target BFS directory with the full directory pathname of Dir_A/Dir_B/Dir_C. You need write permission to directory Dir_C and search permission to the parent directories of Dir_C.

This illustration explains about Permissions required to restore to a target BFS directory

Note: CA VM:Backup checks to ensure you have write permission to the target directory and search permission to each of its parent directories both at the time of submission and when the job is running.
