Confirm the Changes to the Server
After you run the utility, perform the following checks to ensure that the server is changed successfully:
- Log on to the new CA User Activity Reporting Module server as a root user.
- Verify that all the iGateway processes are running.
- Verify that the local agent and connectors are running.
- Execute the following command to verify that the new hostname of the server is displayed:
#hostname
- Execute the following command to verify that the new IP address of the server is displayed:
#ifconfig
- Verify that the following files contain the new hostname and IP address of the server:
- /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
- /etc/sysconfig/network
- /etc/hosts
- /etc/issue
- Log on to the user interface and verify that each tab and dashboard is displayed.
