The Application Alert action expresses information about alert conditions related to functioning of an application. Any type of alert about the Application can be mapped to this action. If this is an error condition and does not warrant immediate attention, then map to the Application Error action. Map alerts related to background processes like services or daemons to the Process Alert action.
