Controlling Applications that Invoke R_auditx

Authorized components can invoke the R_auditx callable service to log events to:

• SMF
• The audit tracking file

Applications that do not run in system key or in supervisor state require READ access to the IRR.RAUDITX resource in the IBMFAC class.

To establish read access

1. Enter the command:

   TSS ADD(tssdept) IBMFAC(IRR)
   

   The IBMFAC is owned.

2. Enter the command:

   TSS PER(tsscomp1) IBMFAC(IRR.RAUDITX)
                     ACCESS(READ)
   

   A permit is added to the component.
