CIA/RT Component Logger &function Failure - RC=&retcode RSN=&rsncode

Reason:

The CIA/RT processing component has attempted to access the System Logger and the request has failed. The logger function attempted will be one of the following: CONNECT, DISCONN, BROWSE, RESET, READ, or DELETE. &retcode and &rsncode are the return code and reason code for the failure. Some of the more common return codes and reason codes include:

Return Code	Reason Code	Explanation
8	80B	Invalid log stream name – check ESM controls
8	80D	User not authorized for log stream – check ESM security
8	831	Invalid log stream name – check ESM controls
8	846	Log stream is empty – wait for events to be added
8	890	System Logger address space failed – start System Logger
8	891	System Logger is initializing – wait for initialization to complete
C	xxx	System Logger address space failed – start System Logger

Action:

Refer to the IBM Assembler Services Reference guides for a complete description of the return and reason codes supplied as output from the use of the following macros: IXGBRWSE, IXGCONN, and IXGDELET. In most cases the component will recover from the failure and continue to process events. If the component fails and you need help contact CA Support at http://ca.com/support.
