ONAME Keyword—Data Classification Owner Data

Valid on z/OS.

This optional field is used to allow up to 255 bytes of comments regarding OWNER1's ownership of the record. This keyword is part of the DATACLAS tracking record that helps determine which data (files, data sets, resources) pertains to which regulation. This record resides in the VSAM file.

ONAME1 can contain letters, numbers, or special characters. If the ONAME1 data contains blanks, place quotation marks around the data.

Keyword length

One to 255 characters.

Capacity of list

One data classification ONAME1 field per command.

This keyword is used with:

• The commands ADDTO and REMOVE
• The DATACLAS record only
• MISC5(DCLADMIN) authority
• MISC5(DCLLIST) authority to LIST data classes in the DATACLAS record
