We recommend that you use global control options to customize how you capture data to logs.

The following global control options help you customize when and how you capture data to logs:

LOG

Allows you to perform the following tasks:

Identify the types of events that CA Top Secret for z/OS logs
Specify whether the events are logged onto the Audit Tracking File (ATF), System Management Facility (SMF), or both
Specify if the violation message is displayed

The LOG option affects all facilities.

ETRLOG

Sends mainframe security events, such as loggings and violations, to CA Audit.

ETROPTS

Controls which events the monitor sends to CA Audit.
