Using the Catalog Synchronization Utility Reports

The Catalog Synchronization Utility produces several reports that help you track and fix errors as you run the utility. There are two types of reports available, standard and trace. Each TSDB2SYx component, when executed, produces standard reports by default. In addition, the TSDB2SY2 component produces trace reports that are generated only when TRACE is specified as an option in the OPTIONS keyword. Listed in the following are the reports that the Catalog Synchronization Utility generates. The following sections describe these reports in detail.

The TSDB2SY1 component produces these standard reports:

CADB2IV1

The input control statement report

TSDB2SY1

The incremental function report.

The TSDB2SY2 component produces the following reports. The standard reports are generated by default; the trace reports are generated when TRACE is specified in the OPTIONS keyword. The trace reports consist of diagnostic information used for debugging purposes. The reports are generated and printed in the following order.

CADB2SSV

The synchronization control statement report (standard report)

CADB2SEU

The user ID exception report (standard report)

CADB2SGP

The input GRANT TO PUBLIC report (trace report)

CADB2SCP

The extract exception report (trace report)

CADB2SCP

The user ID extract trace report (trace report)

CADB2SCP

The resource extract trace report (trace report)

CADB2SED

The DB2 resource status trace report (trace report)

CADB2SUA

The security validation trace report (trace report)

CADB2SGS

The DB2 SQL generated statement report(standard report).

The CADB2SSV, CADB2SEU, CADB2SGP reports are produced once for each job. CADB2SCP, CADB2SED, CADB2SUA, and CADB2SGS reports are produced for each batch. The TSDB2SY3 component produces a standard report, CADB2SES, the DB2 SQL statement report. These reports are written to the ddname SYSOUT.

An incremental synchronization will have two batches, however, most other synchronizations will have one batch.

The TSDB2SY3 component produces this standard report:

CADB2SES-The DB2 SQL statement report for the DB2 catalog being synchronized.

These reports are written to the ddname SYSOUT.
