The CA Top Secret Option for DB2 Catalog Synchronization Utility is comprised of four components, which include:
The following diagram distinguishes which components apply to each type of synchronization.

The number of components you use, or jobs you run, depends on the type of synchronization you wish to perform. Synchronizing only changes made during the day (incremental) for a DB2 subsystem, you must use all four components: TSSRECVR, TSDB2SY1, TSDB2SY2, TSDB2SY3. Selectively synchronizing (specific resources or users) security information for a DB2 subsystem requires two of the components: TSDB2SY2 and TSDB2SY3. The utility cross‑references user and authorization information for selected users and resources in the CA Top Secret Security File with DB2 resources in the DB2 catalog. Using this information, the utility synchronizes the DB2 subsystem's catalog with CA Top Secret Option for DB2 security information.
