DB2STOGP

Description

Identifies DB2 storage groups.

TSS Commands

The following TSS commands can be used with the DB2STOGP keyword: CREATE, DELETE, ADDTO, REMOVE, PERMIT, REVOKE, ADMIN, DEADMIN, WHOOWNS, WHOHAS.

TSS ADDTO or REMOVE

Syntax
TSS ADD(acid) DB2STOGP(storage group, storage group,storage group,...)
Prefix length

1‑8 characters

Capacity of list

1‑5 DB2 storage groups or prefixes per TSS command.

Authority

Administrators must have DB2STOGP(OWN) authority.

Types

The DB2STOGP keyword is used with the following ACID types: User, Profile, Department, Division, Zone, DCA, VCA, SCA, MSCA.

TSS PERMIT or REVOKE

Syntax
TSS PER(acid) DB2STOGP(storage group prefix(es))
Storage Group name

1‑128 characters

Capacity of list

1‑5 storage groups or prefixes per TSS command.

Accesses

The administrator can specify any or all of the following accesses: USE, ALL, NONE. The default access is USE.

Access Controls

The administrator can use any of the following methods to control access to storage groups: Expiration, Facility, Time/Day, Actions.

Types

The DB2STOGP keyword is used with the following ACID types: User, Profile, DCA, VCA, SCA, MSCA.

TSS ADMIN or DEADMIN

Syntax
TSS ADMIN(acid) DB2STOGP(authority level(s))
Authority

Administrators can specify any or all of the following authority levels: OWN, XAUTH, AUDIT, INFO, REPORT, ALL.

Types

The DB2STOGP keyword is used with the following ACID types: User, DCA, VCA, SCA, MSCA.

Examples

TSS ADDTO/REMOVE

To give the Operations Department (OPRDEPT) ownership of the storage group TESTDASD, the administrator enters:

TSS ADD(OPRDEPT) DB2STOGP(TESTDASD)

Ownership of the storage group TESTDASD is removed by entering:

TSS REMOVE(OPRDEPT) DB2STOGP(TESTDASD)
TSS PERMIT/REVOKE

The administrator wants to authorize USRMARK to access storage group TESTDASD. He enters:

TSS PERMIT(USRMARK) DB2STOGP(TESTDASD)

To revoke USRMARK's authority to storage group TESTDASD, he enters:

TSS REVOKE(USRMARK) DB2STOGP(TESTDASD)
TSS ADMIN/DEADMIN

To give administrator OPRDCA the ability to assign ownership of storage groups, and to permit users to access storage groups within his scope, he enters:

TSS ADMIN(OPRDCA) DB2STOGP(OWN,XAUTH)

To remove OPRDCA's authority for storage groups, the administrator enters:

TSS DEADMIN(OPRDCA) DB2STOGP(OWN,XAUTH)
TSS WHOHAS

To determine who has access to the storage group TESTDASD, the administrator enters:

TSS WHOHAS DB2STOGP(TESTDASD)

CA Top Secret will respond by displaying all of the ACIDs that have access to this particular storage group.

TSS WHOOWNS

To determine who owns the storage group TESTDASD, the administrator enters:
