ACL/E statements such as COMPARE, SEARCH, SRCHWAIT, and others return a condition code, which is then used by a BRANCH statement to determine what the program should do next.
ACL/E uses the following condition codes:
Indicates Equal or found
Indicates Not equal to or not found
Indicates Less than
Indicates Greater than
Indicates Less than or equal to
Indicates Greater than or equal to
