Incoming print requests are directed to the JES2 or JES3 spool as dynamically allocated SYSOUT data sets, which the standard CA Deliver pre-spool support intercepts and processes. The incoming print requests are EBCDIC text, AFP, PCL, or binary print files.
Configuration parameters specify how to map the LPR control file lines into JCL parameters such as DDname, destination, output class and writer name.
