Authentication Scheme Dialog—RADIUS Server Template—Scheme Setup Tab

This is where you enter the IP address and port for the RADIUS server, as well as the secret attribute required for authentication by the RADIUS server.

IP Address

IP address of the RADIUS Server.

Be sure to separate the IP address across the four fields. For example, to enter an IP Address of 12.34.56.78, type 12 in the first field, 34 in the second field, etc.

If you do not know the IP address of the RADIUS server, click the DNS Lookup button. Enter a host name in the DNS Lookup Dialog and click OK. The DNS Lookup Dialog closes and the IP address for the server appears in the appropriate fields of the RADIUS Server group box.

Port

Port number for the server.

The Port is used for communication with the RADIUS Server. If you do not specify a port number, the Policy Server uses 1645 as the default UDP port.

Secret the Confirm Secret

Text string to be used as the secret.

The secret is the user attribute that will be used by the RADIUS server as the clear text password.
