Edit a Plain Parameter

You can edit a single value in a plain parameter.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To edit a plain parameter

  1. Open the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. From the System tab, select Agent Conf Objects to display the Agent Conf Object List in the right pane.
  3. From the List pane, select the Agent Configuration Object that you want to modify and right-click.
  4. Select Properties of Configuration Object.

    The Agent Configuration Object Properties dialog opens.

  5. Do one of the following:

    The Edit Parameter Dialog opens with the Plain radio button selected by default.

  6. In the Parameter Name field, specify a name. If you are only editing the value, go to the next step.

    If applicable, remove the pound sign (#) to make the parameter active.

  7. In the Value field, enter the modified value.
  8. Click OK.

    You return to the Agent Configuration Object Properties dialog.

    Note: New parameters are added to the end of the list displayed in the Agent Configuration Object Properties dialog. To reorder the list, select it then use the up or down arrows.

  9. Click OK to exit the Agent Configuration Object Properties dialog.
