Add a Range of IP Addresses for a Global Policy

You can specify a range of IP addresses for a global policy. If you specify a range of IP addresses, the global policy only fires for users who access the policy’s resources from one of the IP addresses included in the range of addresses.

To add a range of IP addresses to a global policy

  1. In the Add an IP Address dialog box, click on the Range radio button.

The dialog box changes to display the fields associated with your selection.

  2. Enter a starting IP Address in the From fields.

If you do not know the IP address, but you have a domain name for the address, you can click on the DNS Lookup button to open the DNS Lookup dialog box.

  3. Enter a fully qualified host name in the Host Name field and click OK. The DNS Lookup dialog box closes and the IP address for the host name you entered appears in the Add an IP Address dialog box.
  4. Enter an ending IP address in the To fields.
  5. Click OK to save the IP address and return to the Global Policy Properties dialog box.

The range of IP addresses appears in the list of addresses in the Global Policy Properties dialog box.
