Disable a Legacy Administrator

You can temporarily disable a Legacy Administrator without deleting the account. Disabling an account lets you reinstate the permissions without having to recreate the account.

To disable a Legacy Administrator

  1. Click Administration, Administrators, Legacy Administrator, Modify Legacy Administrator.

    The Search dialog opens.

  2. Specify search criteria and click Search.

    Users matching the criteria appear.

  3. Select the user you want to disable and click Select.

    System or domain tasks appear in the Administrator Privileges group box.

  4. Clear the tasks in the Tasks group box and click Submit.

    The Legacy Administrator no longer has access to the FSS Administrative UI or to functions such as Trusted Host administrator.

  5. (optional) If the Legacy Administrator has privileges in the Administrative UI, do the following:
    1. Click Administration, Administrator, Modify Administrator.

      The Search dialog opens.

    2. Specify search criteria and click Search

      Users matching the criteria appear.

    3. Select the Legacy Administrator from whom you removed the FSS Administrative UI privileges and click Select.

      Details specific to the administrator appear.

    4. Select Disabled in the Details group box and click Submit.

    The Legacy Administrator is disabled.

You can enable the Legacy Administrator by modifying the Legacy Administrator account to include system or domain-specific tasks, and if applicable, clearing the Disabled check box from the respective Administrator record.
