Administrator Types

A default SiteMinder superuser account with full system privileges is created when you configure the policy store. However, we recommend that you create additional administrator accounts whose privileges can be configured to delegate administrative authority.

You can also create the following types of administrators:

Manage SiteMinder objects using the Administrative UI and other administrative tools.

Legacy Administrators

Manage SiteMinder objects using administrative tools; required to use the Policy Management API.
