Start the Administrative UI

To use the Administrative UI, you must log in as a valid administrator.

  2. Type the following URL:

    http://host.domain/iam/siteminder/adminui

    host

    domain

Specifies the fully qualified domain name of the Administrative UI host system.

    Example: http://siteminder.security.com:81/iam/siteminder/adminui

Note: Use a fully qualified host name in the URL. If the web server on the host system is not running on the standard HTTP port (81), append a colon and a port number to the end of the domain.

    The login screen appears.

  3. Enter a valid user name and password in the appropriate fields.
  4. Click Login.

The system displays the relevant tabs for your administrator privileges. The contents of this window differ based on the privileges of the administrator account you use to log in to the UI.

Manage Policy Server Objects

The Administrative UI lets you view, modify, and delete Policy Server objects. Although the details of each task differ by object, the general methods are similar. For example, the procedure for deleting an Agent is similar to the procedure for deleting a response.

The following sections describe the general tasks for viewing, modifying, and deleting Policy Server objects. Other chapters in this guide describe how to create the Policy Server objects necessary to manage and secure resources.
