Run the Installation Wizard for the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker on UNIX/Linux

Use the wizard to install the CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker on a UNIX or Linux system.

Follow these steps:

  1. Download the installation package to a temporary directory on your computer.

    Note: To run the wizard on a UNIX or Linux operating environment in GUI mode by Telnet or other emulation software, run an XWindows session in the background. Set the DISPLAY variable to your local terminal, as shown in the following example:

    DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0.0
    export DISPLAY
    
  2. Execute the following file:
    ca-erp-sessionlinker-version-operating_environmentprocessor_type.bin
    

    Note: To use console mode, open a console window and then run the previous command with the -i console option.

    version

    Indicates the version of the CA SiteMinder® component.

    Example: 12.0

    operating_environment

    Indicates the abbreviation for the operating environment on which the file runs.

    Example: win represents Microsoft Windows

    Example: sol represents Solaris

    processor_type

    Indicates the type of processor that is compatible with the file.

    Example: 32 corresponds to 32-bit processors

    Example: 64 corresponds to 64-bit processors

    The installation wizard appears.

  3. Follow the prompts in the wizard. Complete the wizard using the information in your worksheet.

    The CA SiteMinder® SessionLinker is installed.

    Run the configuration wizard after the installation wizard finishes.
