Configure SSL Communication
Perform the following procedure to configure SSL communication between the supported components.
Follow these steps:
- Navigate to Proxy Configuration, SSL Config.
- Perform one of the following steps:
- If you have a valid signed certificate, perform the following steps:
- Click Import Cert.
The Import Certificate/Private Key page appears. By default, the Select File tab opens.
- Click Browse and select the signed certificate.
- Click Next.
The Select Entries tab opens.
- Select key entries for the certificate import.
- Click Next.
- The Confirm tab opens.
- Confirm the details and click Finish.
The certificate is displayed in Signed Certificate Response.
- If you do not have a valid signed certificate, perform the following steps:
- Click Request.
The Generate Certificate Request page appears.
- Enter the organizational details of the certificate requester.
- Select the Key Algorithm and Signature Algorithm for the SSL communication.
- Select the Key Size.
- Click Generate.
The certificate is generated.
- Sign the certificate using a CMS.
- Click Import Cert from the SSL Config page.
The Import Certificate/Private Key page appears. By default, the Select File tab opens.
- Click Browse and select the signed certificate.
- Click Next.
The Select Entries tab opens.
- Select key entries for the certificate import.
- Click Next.
- The Confirm tab opens.
- Confirm the details and click Finish.
The certificate is displayed in Signed Certificate Response.
- Perform the following steps to import the root file of the CA that signed the certificate;
- Click Import CA.
The Import CA Certificate page appears.
- Click Browse and select the root certificate.
- Click Next.
The Select Entries tab opens.
- Select key entries for the certificate import.
- Click Next.
The Confirm tab opens.
- Confirm the details and click Finish.
- Click Apply.
The SSL communication is enabled between the selected components.
- (Optional) To deactivate the SSL communication but retain the SSL certificate details, click Deactivate.
- (Optional) To disable the SSL communication, click Restart.
