Entity Type Choice
The first step in configuring an entity is to establish the entity type and determine the entity role.
Follow these steps:
- Log in to the Administrative UI.
- From the Federation tab, select Entities.
- Click Create Entity.
Note: Click Help for a description of fields, controls, and their respective requirements.
- Select one of the following options for the entity location:
- Local

Indicates that you are creating an entity that is local to your site.
- Remote

Indicates that you are configuring an entity that represents the partner at the remote site.
- Identify the specific entity type in the New Entity Type field. The drop-down list shows all the options.
- Click Next to configure specifics about the entity.
