Prerequisites for Kerberos Mode with CA SiteMinder® Federation Standalone on UNIX and the KDC on Windows

The prerequisites for installing the CA SiteMinder® Federation Standalone Windows Agent on a UNIX system running in Kerberos mode with the KDC on Windows are as follows:

1. Set up the domain controller for Kerberos on Windows.
2. Create the keytab file on Windows.
3. Perform additional Kerberos configuration for the CA SiteMinder® Federation Standalone server on UNIX.
4. Configure Internet Explorer settings:
   • Local Intranet Properties setup
   • Intranet Authentication setup
   • (Optional) Browser Authentication through a Proxy Server
   • (Optional) Port Specification
