How to Configure a r6.x Parallel Environment

Complete the follow procedures to configure a parallel environment:

  1. Review the parallel environment key management options to determine how to implement single sign–on.
  2. Create the r12.5 environment.
  3. Complete one of the following steps:
  4. If your r6.x environment contains smkeydatabases:
    1. Synchronize all instances.
    2. Migrate the content of a smkeydatabase to the r12.5 certificate data store.
  5. If you are managing legacy federation (Federation Security Services) objects in your r6.x environment, migrate the assertion issuer ID.
  6. (Optional) Migrate the r6.x policy store data.
  7. Review the user directory single sign–on requirements.
