Report Availability After BusinessObjects Installation
If you are not able to view reports after you install BusinessObjects, it may be because of the following reasons:
- The user is not included in the SOI Reports group
- Improper ODBC connection setup
- Wrong name for the ODBC connection in the samreports.xml file
Follow these steps:
- Delete the CA_SAM Universe, Universe connection, Folder, and Group from BusinessObjects.
- Enter the ODBC definition.
- Enter the datasource name in the samreports.xml file.
Note: In the datasource name field, enter the ODBC connection name.
- Run biconfig from the command line to import the BIAR file.
- Log in to the Central Management Console as the Administrator and add the <user> to the SOI Reports group.
- Log in to InfoView as <user> and run a report.
