Change Connector Properties

As an administrator, you can change the basic connector properties. The following examples show common changes:

You can change these settings in the connector whenever they change in the domain manager so that communication is not interrupted.

To change connector properties from the Administration UI

  1. Open the Administration UI and click the Administration tab.
  2. Expand Connector Configuration, expand the connector system, and select the connector to modify.
  3. Click the Value column for the property to change, change the property, and click Save.
  4. Click Stop and wait until the connector status changes to Offline.
  5. Click Start and wait until the connector status changes to Online.

The connector is restarted. Depending on the type of connector, it may take a few minutes before the connector's Status displays Online.

Important! Do not perform rapid start and stop operations on the connector. Each stop and start sends the corresponding command to the connector. Rapid start and stop operations from the interface can cause these commands to queue on the connector and cause the connector to start up and shut down until all commands in the queue are processed.

To change connector properties using the connector configuration file

  1. Open the connectorname_servername.xml file located at SOI_HOME\resources\Configurations for the connector to edit.
  2. Edit the necessary properties and save and close the file.
  3. Perform one of the following actions:
