CA Catalyst Customization

As an administrator, you can change the reconciliation formula for all CIs, specific CI properties, or CIs from specific domain managers.

The CA Catalyst Logic Server controls the reconciliation of correlated CIs to use a unified set of USM property values. The Logic Server compares property values from each version of the CI and decides which value to use based on reconciliation formulas. By default, the Logic Server uses the LastUpdateWins formula for reconciliation, which uses the value that was last updated as the reconciled value for each property.

For example, if a specific domain manager is your source of record for all management information, you can make that domain manager the single source of truth by assigning the SingleSourceOfTruth reconciliation formula so that the Logic Server always uses property values from that domain manager during reconciliation.

Note: For more information about configuring Logic Server reconciliation policies, see the Administration Guide.
