Symptom Codes
Symptom codes represent a single general symptom for an incident that a user reports. When a user reports an incident, you can specify a symptom code on the ticket to help categorize and track the incident. For example, you can use a symptom code of Slow Response on a ticket for an application that is not running as fast as a user expects.
You can do the following symptom code actions:
- Use or edit the predefined symptom codes.
- Create symptom codes. For example, you can create a Cannot Activate Device code to use for incidents concerning activating wireless devices.
- List symptom codes.
- Search for incidents by symptom code. For example, you can search for all incidents that have an Application Not Responding symptom code, and then view each incident for information to help resolve an incident.
